I am sad to see this series come
to an end.
It has been enlightening
and fun to take notes on :)

envelope

I received another envelope from
the decorated envelope exchange I participated in
through Letters of Joy last year.

This one is from the very talented
Terri Kruger.

I love the lettering and the
wonderful illustration!!

And, although I did not attend Letters of Joy this year,
I did sign up for the envelope exchange again.
I have loved getting all these little works of art in the mail.
And the best part is I never know when they
are coming, so it's a great surprise waiting for me in my mailbox!

joint art show

In June our Calligraphy Guild
is having a joint art show with the
I did the lettering for the poster.

The border was done by

I love the lighthearted feel of her
colorful border.
It was a lot of fun to add the lettering to it!

If you are in Spokane, come see the show sometime in June.
It will be up at Gina's Design Center (811 W. 2nd) for the month.
Our reception is June 1 from 5-8PM
and we would love to see you there!!

We started a series on Jonah.
I will have to stop myself from using the
whale in every entry :)

my new home

I have the privilege of being part
of an artist's cooperative here in Spokane.
with heavy emphasis on the PLUS ;)
I recently moved my spot in the shop
and I have a new home now.

I can now be found in a cozy little
corner where you can stop and
read all the little tidbits of wisdom and inspiration
I have found over the last few years.

Come in and see me if you are
in Spokane!!

teeny tiny

A few months ago I missed our monthly
calligraphy guild meeting.
The project they did was a round-robin accordion book
where everyone in the group added a
letter to each person's book.
You can read more about it here.
A friend in the group let me know that she reserved
a special little spot in her book
for me.

What tiny little accordion book is
complete without an ampersand??

ampersand 2"x2" tile completed using
cardstock, prismacolor colored pencils
and my light table.

church doodles

I have had fun going back to these
entries after I am home from church
to add some color.
Sometimes I do it when I'm at one of
our kids' sports practices (shhhh).
